Mods Vs Rockers 2012 !!!!

General Club News and Info

Postby Danman » 11 Sep 2012, 08:56

The 2012 Mods Vs Rockers on the 11th of November is approaching and I am putting the call out for volunteers.
<DIV>I need some BBQ cookers for the Custom Lane end who will <U>not</U> be riding to do the snags and onions as well as some transport.</DIV>
<DIV>We will need some parking marshals at Brighton for the arrival of the bikes and some corner marshals for the ride.</DIV>
<DIV>Also raffel ticket sellers, table people for both ends for sign in at Brighton and sellers at Custom Lane.</DIV>
<DIV>If anyone has trophy connections/ideas (that are not pieces of broken crap welded together) let us know, and if you can get some prize donation or major sponsorship it would make for a better event.</DIV>
<DIV>Poster runs will come soon, and for those in the social media start talking/typing about it.</DIV>
<DIV>If you need to contact me&nbsp; on 0407 972 871, or reply on the forum.</DIV>

Hey Danman,<br><br>I won\'t be able to make it tomorrow night - other plans, sorry - but, I may have a special prize I\'d like to donate (it\'s a surprise!) and I also have several [unused] raffle ticket books from previous years! I would love to assist in selling raffle tickets again and take entry monies.<br><br>See you there!<br>

We\'ve started promoting it at OzChild as well (where the proceeds go to), so hopefully have a few vols to assist. I\'m riding in it this year, looking forward to it!

Great job today guys. Well organised, great bands (loved those Rebelles!), cool bikes as always, and good mates. Could not have asked for better weather. And of course, Rockers were victorious again for the third year running. Thanks to the Tug-or-war crew. Heave-Ho!!&nbsp;<img>

Thanks to all that attended the Mods &amp; Rockers 2012 and many thanks to those that worked hard to make it all possible. Great turn out and the weather was on our side to make it a fantastic day. The Tug o War team made us proud and the Trophy is safely in Rockers hands once again <img>. We do have to give the win to the Womens Mod Team as Bear was pulling the rope on our site <img>. Sorry Girls.

A big thank you to everyone who came on Sunday it was a terrific day.
<DIV>I would like to especially thank Martin and Christine for setting up the bbq at Custom lane, cutting the onions and managing the set up, to Kate for working tirelessly all day at the tables at both ends, and to every one else that assisted with the registration table, the raffel ticket selling, the corner marshals and of course the tug of was team. </DIV>
<DIV>Also a big thumbs up to Shadow , Drifter, Snowy&nbsp;and Tony (from custom lane) for all of the prep work, the organisation of the trade displays and the use of a great venue and the rest of the behind the scenes organisation.</DIV>
<DIV>This is an event that every member of the club can be proud of!!</DIV>
<DIV>I\'m already looking forward to next year! See you all at the Xmas party</DIV>
<DIV>Cheers </DIV>
