Hi all,<div> </div><div>I would just like to say hi as a new Member in Darwin NT and icluding a brief intro to Myself and family who are also new Members.</div><div> </div><div>I\'m Anthony riding name \'Hewie\' currently work within the Paspaley Pearling Group of Companies as the Financial Controller for a Ship yard locted in Darwin NT. I have been riding for about 30+ years, Currently riding a Hinckley Bonneville (2011 T100 efi), which I have been riding since new and love it to death. I was born in Kyneton, Vic and grow up in East Coburg, attending East Coburg Primary School. Long time supporter of Carlton FC. Moved to the UK in the early 70\'s, finished my Secondary schooling there and Joined the UK Military (Army, Royal Tank Regiment). Completed 10 years in the Brit Army, left the services in the late 80\'s, stayed in the UK and met my wife (Lisa, also a new niner Australia member) and returned to Australia in 2000 living intitally in the Adelaide Hills. Been living in Darwin for the past 7+ years and not sure if I could cope with the Cold down South now? :) BTW: my part time jobs Include Umpire AFL NT, Referee Rugby Union (although reduced those activities due to time commitments as I am also a Casual Motorcycle Education, Licencing and Training Officer for the NT Goverment, which tends to take up most of my weekends.</div><div> </div><div>Lisa (my Wife) no riding name yet, so maybe you can think of one? (most of the names I think of are expletives and I keeping getting slapped by her!) . Lisa currently works as a General Manager for an Estate Agents in the Top End. She says trying to keep the actual Agents in order and making them become respectable people! Lisa rides a 2012 harley Davidson Iron 883, with the limited quarter mile paint scheme, which indeed does resemble a Cafe Racer, albeit I always smile and indeed shudder at the oxymoron of the words \'Harley Davidson Racing\' printed on the side of her tank! Lisa was born in England and her first visit to Australia was when she emigrated in 2000, and she absolutely loves the Aussie life style and is now True Blue, albeit she supports Port Adelaide and rides a Harley so she has her down falls <img></div><div> </div><div>Alex (son) 20 years of age Studying at Uni of New England, Armidale. Bloody Students!!! Alex has a Motorcycle licence, but does not currently have a bike yet, (although his riding name is \'Darwin\'&nbsp;he is a fan of Triumph Daytona\'s and loves Cafe racers. Alex was born in the UK and was dragged to Aussie by his parents when he was 7 years old along with his younger brother (Michael) who was 2 years old. They are also both true blue Aussies now. Alex also supports Carlton, albeit also follows Rugby Union, having played that more as a lad with the Palmerston Croc\'s NT and at Uni.</div><div> </div><div>Cheers all hope to see you guys around, keep Safe</div><div> </div><div>Keep riding</div>

Hi Dan,<div>&nbsp;</div><div>Within METAL (as it is called), I carry out a number of activities:</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>1.&nbsp; I Instruct and assess new riders and returning riders to obtain there L plates, 2&nbsp; day course&nbsp; wtih&nbsp; theory and&nbsp; practical skills, awarding \'L\' licence to competant players.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>2.&nbsp; Instruct and&nbsp; Assess&nbsp; Learner&nbsp; riders (Intermediates), &nbsp;on road, awarding the Restricted Licence (LAMs approved motorcycles) or P plates&nbsp; to competant&nbsp; riders</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>3. Instruct Advanced&nbsp; Riders (ie those with&nbsp; Full licence) on more advanced riding skills, basically doing everything&nbsp;as for the&nbsp;&nbsp;Basic&nbsp; and Intermediates at Speed.&nbsp; Ie braking, Counter Steering, Fast Cornering, etc&nbsp; etc.&nbsp; This is a one day course,&nbsp;done on the Hidden&nbsp;Valley race track (where V8 Supercars&nbsp; and&nbsp; Australian Superbikes race).&nbsp; I am Itching to get hold of one of the new Norton 961 Commando Cafe&nbsp; racer and take that for a spin on the track,&nbsp; saving my smal change vigorously so that I may be able to afford one, when they are released, without her in-doors, Lisa,&nbsp;kicking up too much of a stink on the cost of them. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Keep riding</div>

Welcome to the 59 Club. Sorry about the little spammer/hacker problem. After deleting about 20000 of em all is sweet. We have blocked all new registrations for now but you should be able to post as normal. Gone are the days were the only thing that mattered were power and chrome and finned cylinders, alloy tanks with monza caps. No one had your personal details on a computer, no one was going to commit fraud with your credit card, and no one called you to sell you stuff you didn\'t want. I hope you can find some nostalgia in this club and hope we can keep out the rubbish and enjoy the basics, one bike with a soul, one leather jacket with studs and patches and a great bunch of mates to ride with. Good luck up north and talk soon. <br> <br>Rockers Forever <br>Shadow
