Mods Vs Rockers!!! Tug Of War

General Club News and Info

I am calling for volunteers again!
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>The main hands up we need is for the Tug Of War Teams and I am appealing to the younger fitter members of the club to stand up and put in for the reputation of all of us. This is for the guys <U>and</U> the girls. </DIV>
<DIV>We will arrange a practice a week or two prior to the event if you have never done this before, and I can assure you it is an experience that you will not forget and will put a smile on your dial for many years to come. We have had a lot of new members join and they look a lot healthier and stronger than some of us old farts.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I have one spot left for a corner marshall, and I would like to lock in the parking marshalls as well. It will only be fifteen to twenty minutes of coordination at the Brighton end and Custom lane, and can easily be done when we arrive.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>The BBQ drivers at the Custom Lane end are still needed, and the more hands on deck the better. A coordinator at the Custom lane end is a great help to the whole production.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I hope to get flooded with emails, and if someone could put this message to all of the facebookers it would be very much appreciated.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>ROCKERS RULE!!!!!</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Cheers </DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>

I\'m in for tug of war and so is Simon (100kgs of meat on the hoof). We gave them a lesson last year hope for more of the same this one. Practice should be ok but just juggling work, kids and army, plenty of notice works for me...... <br>

Thanks Niel - you are in.
<DIV>After a chat with a few club members at the swap meet the tug of war team volunteers are:</DIV>
<DIV>Shunter as team captain as he has been on the team every year, and for the young fellas we have Jake, Shawrey, Carl, Greasy and MattB.</DIV>
<DIV>We would need one more for the guys team and I would like the biggest boy in the club to step up. An anchor of 150 kilos plus would do nicely.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>With the guys sorted can we have a word to the women folk and get the girls organised.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Sunday the 3rd of November looks like a good date for the practice.Pencil it in and we will make it happen.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Cheers</DIV>

Ok girls lets get this show on the road!!! <br>It appears I am team captain - strange but true. <img> <br>We need as many girls as are interested to come to the practice day so we can work out the most formidable combination and afew reserves if we have enough volunteers. <br>We remain undefeated by the mod girls so lets keep it up shall we?

I was hoping the team captains would get it together, but if you need me to make a date lets make it this Sunday in Healesville, it is the last chance the Tow teams have to not disgrace themselves.
<DIV>You can go to the sports oval on Don road and have a practice. Get in contact with your fellow team members and Matt or Drifter as they have the rope.
</DIV>
<DIV>I will look forward to hearing about it at the monthly meeting.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Thanks</DIV>
